Magic Sleepover

At WSHS, you can step into another world for a moment – or a little longer – and take in the beauty. Our sanctuary lets you escape the rollercoaster of everyday life. And we promise, nothing is what it seems. With us, you are immersed in a treasure trove of color and extraordinary pieces and wander from one story into another. Who said less is more?

Each of our rooms & suites, designed by interior designer Judith van Mourik, has its own unique character – its own personality. Colour, volume, history and a ‘wow’ moment; the energy can be felt in every single room. The building itself, the old Gouda Weeshuis, is of great monumental value. That rich history is of great importance to WSHS. Lovingly, we like to let the history return in a contemporary way… and with a wink.

INSPIRED BY GOUDS PLATEEL

The design throughout is inspired by Gouds Plateel, a collective name for pottery made in Gouda around 1900. The prints, graphic shapes, colors and decor set the mood and feel entirely at home in the building. This worked so naturally that we didn’t even need to determine some of the colors. They were already present all around the building. This just goes to show that sometimes the most beautiful things are already there…
